Before you install
- When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
- An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.
Download FAQs
How do buildings and taxes work in City Island 5?
You place buildings such as homes, banks, and other city facilities on the island. These buildings attract residents, and taxes generated as people arrive add to your funds. More residents appear as the city and its building count grow.
What has been changed in this City Island 5 build?
This is an Unlimited Money build. It includes a Menu Mod with unlimited cash and unlimited gold. The label does not change the listed city-building activities.
Can buildings be moved after they are placed in City Island 5?
Yes, buildings can be moved even after they have been in place for a long time. This allows you to reorganise the city as the island fills with construction. You can also add routes where they are needed to reach new places.
What is new in version 5.12.0 of City Island 5?
Version 5.12.0 lists bug fixes and performance improvements. Future updates may change the build, and continued MOD compatibility depends on the developer's changes.
What Android version does City Island 5 require, and how is it installed?
City Island 5 requires Android 6.0 or later for installation. After you tap the downloaded file, Android opens the device installer. Android may show a message about allowing installations from that source, and the choice remains yours.
Nothing happens when I tap download
Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.
Android says "App not installed"
Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
