Before you install
- When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
- An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.
Download FAQs
How does hero positioning work on AFK Journey's hex battle maps?
Battles use hex-based maps, and you can freely place heroes in different positions. Each placement can produce different results, so you can adjust your formation as the situation changes. Hero positioning works alongside each character's unique abilities.
What has changed in this AFK Journey build?
This build is labeled Menu, Game Speed. It includes a menu and a game-speed option. The label does not change the stated fantasy setting, heroes, or combat mechanics.
Who do you play as in AFK Journey?
You take the role of Merlin, a legendary wizard. Merlin's journey follows the game's storyline through its fantasy world. Along the way, you interact with heroes from six factions.
What is included in the latest AFK Journey update?
Version 1.7.41 adds the Graveborn heroes Eryndor - Veiled Viceroy and Karma - Twinborn Malice. It also adds the Last Thread II Epilogue Quest after completing Last Thread I, Level 2 Enhance Force for Viperian and Alsa, and Evie's and Nerion's Soul Sigils in the Season Store.
What Android version does AFK Journey require, and how is the APK installed?
AFK Journey requires Android 6.0 or later as the minimum installation version. Opening the downloaded file starts your device's default installer. Android may show a message about permitting installs from that source, and that choice remains yours.
Nothing happens when I tap download
Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.
Android says "App not installed"
Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
