A tab with an advert may open when you tap download. Close it and come back here to carry on — those clicks are what keep Kingmodapk free.
Before you install
- When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
- An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.
Download FAQs
How does the Observing Plan Generator create a target list?
It uses your equipment, location, date, light pollution level, and minimum altitude to create a personalized list. You can select naked-eye viewing, binoculars, or a telescope before generating objects for the night.
What has been changed in this build?
Nothing is presented as a modification. This is the original build of Mobile Observatory, with the complete paid version available through a one-time purchase and no subscription.
Can Mobile Observatory control a computerized telescope?
Yes. It supports LX200, NexStar, and INDI protocols. You can browse objects and send GoTo commands, including targets chosen through the Observing Plan Generator.
Which Android version is required?
Mobile Observatory requires Android 8.0 or later. Android shows its normal installation prompts when you install an APK from outside Google Play.
What does Mobile Observatory collect?
Google Play lists crash logs and diagnostics as collected data. Review those details before installing if this data collection affects your decision.
Nothing happens when I tap download
Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.
Android says "App not installed"
Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
