ShareMe Mod is a peer-to-peer file transfer application developed by Xiaomi. It creates a direct Wi-Fi connection between devices to share photos, videos, music, apps, and documents without using mobile data or an internet connection. The app is designed for users who frequently transfer files between Android phones, especially when migrating data to a new device or sharing large media files in environments with limited or no network access.
What This Mod Unlocks
- All advertisements within the ShareMe Mod interface are permanently disabled.
- The mod does not unlock additional premium features, as the core file transfer functionality of ShareMe Mod is already free in the official version.
- No server-side premium features, such as cloud storage or enhanced transfer speeds, are affected or unlocked by this modification.
The primary modification is the removal of interstitial and banner advertisements that appear during file selection and transfer processes.
Activation Note
The mod is pre-activated. Upon launching ShareMe Mod version 3.36.11, you will immediately notice the absence of all advertisement banners and video ads that are present in the official APK. No mod menu or special activation steps are required.
The APK requires Android 4.4 or higher. Installation consumes approximately 5.5 MB of storage space. Root access is not required.
Installation Steps
- Download the ShareMe Mod mod APK file.
- Enable installation from unknown sources in your Android device settings.
- Open the downloaded APK file and proceed with the installation.
- Launch the ShareMe Mod application after installation completes.
Known Edge Cases
The ad-blocking function is local to the app. If you clear the app's data or cache, the mod remains active as the changes are embedded in the APK. Since ShareMe Mod operates on a direct P2P connection, there is no server-side detection risk for using the modded version for file transfers. The mod does not alter or enhance the file transfer protocol or speed limits defined by the original application. On some custom ROMs, the Wi-Fi Direct handshake might behave identically to the official app, which is a limitation of the underlying Android framework, not the mod.
